US Supreme Court Won’t Hear Appeal Of Internet Taxation

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to take up a case challenging a New York state law requiring online companies to collect state sales taxes, just like brick and mortar stores do. The Illinois Supreme Court recently rejected a similar tax law in the state.

The leaders of Illinois' General Assembly have reached a deal on pensions, but now they have to persuade legislators to go along with it. The House and Senate will meet in Springfield Tuesday, Dec. 3 to debate the measure.
