Rep. Duckworth Talks Elections; Same-Day Voter Registration; Cielito Lindo Family

On the 21st: We talked with Rep. Tammy Duckworth. Plus, we answered voter registration questions with a Chicago lawyer and two Illinois county clerks. Also, we heard from the Cielito Lindo Family, who performs at the Folk and Roots Festival in Champaign-Urbana this weekend.

Live From Studio F - Hobnob String Band

The 8th annual C-U Folk and Roots Festival starts Thursday at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Illinois Urbana campus, and continues Friday and Saturday in downtown Urbana.  The Hobnob String Band and Hubby Jenkins are performing Thursday at Krannert.  Three members of the Hobnob String Band joined Illinois Public Media’s Brian Moline for the latest edition of “Live from Studio F.”

Finchley Boys Reuniting For Red Lion Event, CD Release

The Finchley Boys were one of Champaign-Urbana’s most popular bands during the area’s rock heyday of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.  Although the band broke up in 1974, they’re reuniting this weekend for the Red Lion Inn 50th Anniversary Reunion at The City Center in downtown Champaign.
