Seniors Keep NCAA Hopes Alive With Win Over Spartans

The Illini men beat MIchigan State 73-70 last night in Champaign. It was the fourth consecutive win for Illinois, which now finds itself in the NCAA Tournament conversation, despite a 4-9 start in Big Ten play.

Three-Point Barrage Keys Illinois’ 73-57 Victory Over Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Malcolm Hill scored 19 points and Illinois went on a 3-point shooting spree in the second half in a 73-57 victory over Nebraska on Sunday.

Tracy Abrams added 13 points and Maverick Morgan had 12 for the Illini (17-12, 7-9), who won their third straight road game and for the fourth time in five games overall.

Illini Men Sweep Wildcats For First Big Ten Winning Streak In Two Years

The Illini men's basketball team beat Northwestern 66-50 last night in Champaign. It's the first back-to-back Big Ten wins for Illinois since the end of the 2015 season.

Malcolm Hill led all scorers with 18 points, and added five rebounds and five assists.

Hill’s 21, Lucas Block Help Illini Hold Off Iowa 70-66

Malcolm Hill scored 21 points and hauled down eight rebounds and Illinois held on for a 70-66 win over Iowa on Saturday. The Illini took the lead in the final minutes on a Hill layup and fended off several Iowa chances late to win their second true road game of the season.

Penn State Stops Illini Men 83-70

The Nittany Lions used a 14-2 run late in the first half to build a lead they never relinquished. Penn State shot 57 percent from the field and 90 percent from the free throw line.

Illini Men Snap Losing Streak At Northwestern

The Illini men’s basketball team ended a three-game losing skid last night in Evanston with a 68-61 win over the Northwestern Wildcats. Four Illini scored in double figures, led by Malcolm Hill, whose 14 points all came in the second half.
