Government Shuts Down As Congress Fails To Pass Funding Measure

The federal government may be in a partial shutdown, but the gears of a political blame game kept rolling Saturday morning. President Trump was tweeting at dawn, blaming Democrats for the lapse in government funding as the Senate failed to advance a four-week extension overnight.

Lawsuit Claims Illinois Children Denied Medically Necessary Services

A lawsuit against Illinois’ Department of Healthcare and Family Services claims the state illegally withholds medically necessary services from children with severe mental health disorders. The suit's lead attorney says some parents desperate to get their children help have surrendered them to the foster care system. The case was settled in federal court this week.
