Chancellor Regrets Uproar Over Prof. Salaita

University of Illinois Urbana Phyllis Wise told a committee of faculty leaders Monday that she regretted the uproar caused by the decision not hire a professor whose Twitter messages were considered by some to be anti-Semitic.

Obama To Announce Large Ramp Up Of Ebola Fight

The Ebola epidemic in West Africa is already the deadliest on record, having killed more than 2,400 people, and it could get much worse, according to health officials. That alarm has President Obama meeting today with experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

Suspect Sought in Champaign Bank Robbery

UPDATE: Champaign Police report that 37-year-old Michael Alexander of Rantoul, who is a suspect in the First Midwest Bank robbery and others, was arrested September 22nd in Indianapolis. More details available HERE.
