Illinois ranks second highest in the nation for one very dubious distinction: Losing high school graduates to out-of-state colleges. Only New Jersey loses more college students than Illinois, and that's according to counts taken before Illinois starved its universities during the two-year budget impasse.

Republicans Outline Biggest Tax Code Overhaul In A Generation

President Trump and GOP congressional leaders have outlined their plan for the most sweeping overhaul of the federal tax code in more than three decades. They're proposing deep cuts in both individual and corporate tax rates, saying that will help supercharge a slow-growing economy.

New Law Could Mean The Nurse Will See You Now

A new Illinois law is expected to improve access to health care by giving nurses more authority.  The law applies to advanced practice nurses, who are differentiated from other nurses by having obtained higher levels of education and training.
