AARP: Illinois Overuses Nursing Homes

The AARP says Illinois has improved opportunities for elderly people to remain in the community, but it says there are still too many living in nursing homes who don't need to be there.

Illinois Jobless Rate Falls To 7.5 Percent

The state Department of Employment Security says Illinois' unemployment rate fell to 7.5 percent in May. It was the third consecutive monthly decrease.

Indiana Argues Right To Pick Licenses To Recognize

The Indiana attorney general contends in a brief filed in the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago that states have the right to decide which out-of-state licenses they choose to recognize, including marriage licenses.
