Another Health Care Deadline Approaching

Consumers who missed the first big deadline to get insurance through the Affordable Care Act have another chance to get coverage soon. Anyone signed up by Wednesday -- that is Jan. 15 -- will be covered starting the first of next month.

70 MPH Sign Installation Delayed Due To Weather

State transportation officials say last week's frigid and snowy weather has delayed crews who were putting up signs along interstates increasing the speed limit to 70 mph.

Homeless Try To Stay Warm, Together

For homeless people in central Illinois, escaping the recent snow and frigid temperatures can be a challenge. Shelters and transition centers offer short-term help for some, but homeless families often face a tough choice between staying together or staying warm.

Illinois Top US Soybean Producer In 2013

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says Illinois was the country's leading producer of soybeans and second-largest corn producer last year.
