Red Cross Opens Shelters for Flooding Victims

The Red Cross is opening two shelters in east-central Illinois, to help people who have been forced to evacuate their homes due to flooding

.In Champaign County, a shelter has been opened in Homer, at the village hall, 500 East 2nd Street. It was receiving evacuees on Thursday evening.

In Vermilion County, a shelter had been set up in Georgetown, at the First Church of Christ, 503 North Main Street.
