The University of Illinois at Urbana –Champaign is one of the nation’s top party schools, according to an annual survey released by the Princeton Review.

Based on a list of 20 schools, the U of I ranks fourth right behind West Virginia University, the University of Iowa, and Ohio University.

More than 120,000 students were asked about a range of topics from academics to campus life.

Laura Beata, who is a college counselor at Champaign’s Centennial High School, said she doesn’t put much weight into these surveys.

“I would never tell someone don’t go to a school based on that alone because sometimes schools get a bad rap," Beata said. "Sometimes it’s just the bigger schools out there get that information just because there’s more going on than maybe a smaller school. So, it’s not always a super accurate portrayal of the school itself.”

The Princeton Review also ranked the U of I as the #3 highest school for the amount of Greek life on campus, #9 for Best Athletic Facilities, and #17 for least accessible professors.
