Rauner, Sen. Kirk Criticize New Indiana Law

Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner said the Indiana religious-objections law could 'open the door to discriminatory behavior', while U.S. Senator Mark Kirk called it 'basically un-American.'

Students In December Protest Involved In ‘Restorative’ Talk

Sunday's conversation that included students, parents, and public officials was the decision of State's Attorney Julia Rietz, rather than charging anyone with a crime.  The 'Black Lives Matter' protest occured outside Champaign Centennial High School Dec. 4th.

Rauner Schedules Special Election To Replace Schock

The governor has requested a special primary to be held June 8 with the election on July 24.  But his office warned the actual dates of the election will be changed to comply with federal law.
