Budget Impasse Affects Child Care Assistance Program

With no state budget in place, the Illinois Department of Human Services has implemented changes to the Child Care Assistance Program that drastically reduce eligibility for the program.

Eastern Illinois Laying Off 67 With More To Come

EIU identified 118 jobs for elimination, with 50 of those positions vacant.  Those jobs are in civil service, as well as administrative and professional areas.
