Health Alliance CEO Stepping Down

In a statement, Jeff Ingrum, who's been CEO of Health Alliance Medical Plans for 18 years, is resigning in less than two weeks, saying he 'feels it's time to move on to something new.' 

Carle Foundation president and CEO James Leonard will become the new CEO at Health Alliance, while John M. Snyder, Carle Executive Vice President and System CEO will assume day-to-day operations at the insurer.

Kraft Heinz Downsizing Will Affect Jobs, Product, At Champaign Plant

Kraft Heinz says job losses are expected at its Champaign plant, which is losing part of its cheese production to other plants. But the company says seven other North American plants will be closed entirely.

Gasoline Prices Go Up & Down But Mainly Down: Analyst

Gasoline prices in Champaign-Urbana have gone up and down in recent days, briefly dropping below $2 a gallon for the first time in months. But an analyst with the gas price tracking website GasBuddy.com says he expects prices to be lower, on the whole, going into winter.

Urbana Again Seeks Funding Aid Before METCAD Board

Urbana Mayor Laurel Prussing will go before the METCAD 911 Policy Board later this month with hopes of spreading out the city's payment, just as the city did in 2014.  An ordinance to pay the $94,000 due fell two votes shy of passage at the Urbana City Council Monday night.
