Illinois Sees Increase In Early Voting

Casting a ballot before election day is becoming more popular in Illinois, according to a report by the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform (ICPR). The group found that the percentage of voters opting to vote before election day climbed to 22 percent this primary compared to 18 percent in 2016.

Feds OK Illinois Expansion of Medicaid Mental Health Coverage

lllinois' three million Medicaid users will soon have more access to mental health and substance abuse treatments. Officials in Washington, D.C. okayed a new state program that sets aside about $2 billion in Medicaid funds for the services.

Illini 4000 Bike Trip Across U.S. Already Raised 90 Percent Of Goal

The Illini 4000 is gearing up for its annual, coast-to coast bike trip to raise money for cancer research and awareness. The group--made up primarily of University of Illinois students--has already raised $90,000 towards its $100,000 dollar goal.
