Most families know that their kids need to exercise. In a poll that NPR recently conducted with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Harvard School of Public Health, practically all of the parents surveyed said it's important for their kids to exercise. But about one-third of them said that can be difficult.
Superstorm Sandy is effecting several areas in Central Illinois, from transportation (gas prices & air travel), food expenses (the price of seafood), to the efforts of local agencies (relief crews from the Red Cross, and repair crews from Ameren).
Consumers are becoming very savvy when it comes to their food. They want to know about the origins of food, chemicals that may have come in contact, and the level of freshness. This interest in more information has resulted in a growing interest in locally grown food from a type of consumers known as “locavores.”
