Peoples Gas faces another lawsuit in connection with a natural gas leak that contaminated private water wells near Mahomet. The plaintiffs are seeking at least $50,000 each in damages, plus punitive damages against the company.

A Mother’s 15-Year Struggle To Get Life Saving Care For Her Daughter

Tamitria Jernigan takes her daughter Tashea to the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent’s in Indianapolis every three weeks for a blood transfusion. Tashea has a blood disorder known as sickle cell disease and it caused her to have a stroke when she was two years old. The regular blood transfusions prevent her from having another one.

Rauner Wants Private Investors To Pay For U of I Expansion

Gov. Bruce Rauner said he wants to expand the University of Illinois system with billions of dollars from private investors. Rauner shared his plan with students and staff at the U of I’s Urbana campus during a tour of the university's electrical and computer engineering building on Wednesday.

Davis Returning To Congressional Baseball Game, A Year After Shooting

U.S. Congressman Rodney Davis is one of many Republicans facing off against Democrats in Thursday evening’s annual Congressional Baseball Game for Charity at Nationals Park in Washington DC. The game comes exactly a year after a gunman opened fire on a Republican baseball practice in June 2017--which Davis, who represents the 13th district, had attended.
