Madigan: Daily Fantasy Sports Betting Is Illegal Gambling

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan issued an opinion Wednesday, saying daily fantasy sports, offered through websites like FanDuel or DraftKings, is illegal gambling under state law. She says illegal gambling occurs when someone "plays a game of chance or skill for money.''

Village Of St. Joseph Honoring Track Star And Local Native Dickerson

Tuesday night, St. Joseph Mayor B. J. Hackler will sign a proclamation naming a portion of Main Street 'Marianne Dickerson Memorial Run.'  The local native, who passed away in October, set records at the U of I and won a silver medal at the first marathon world championship for women in 1983.

University of Illinois students and Roger Ebert Fellows Ashish Valentine, Riane Lenzner-White and Shalayne Pulia reviewed the opening-night screening of The Force Awakens and convened in the studios of Chicago Public Radio to discuss what the Star Wars phenomenon meant (or didn’t mean) to them, going into the film.

Illinois Considers Taxing Retirement Income
