Court Case Could Upend Illinois Campaign Caps

The scandal that brought down former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich led to campaign-contribution caps in Illinois. Advocates of the limits are fearful a case set to be argued before the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday could upend their efforts.

Champaign Teachers Show Support During Contract Talks

The Champaign School Board and the Champaign Federation of Teachers union continued meeting Monday evening inside the Mellon Administrative Building in Champaign to discuss a new contract.

House Passes Bill Allowing Back Pay For Furloughed Workers

Federal workers who were furloughed by a government shutdown will receive back pay once they return to work, if a bill approved by the House of Representatives Saturday meets Senate approval.
