State Police Issue Snow Travel Advisory

Illinois State Police have issued a snow travel advisory for the Super Bowl weekend. As temperatures drop tonight and rain changes to snow in many areas, they expect wet and icy road conditions. They're reminding drivers to take it slow and watch for emergency vehicles.

Rauner: “Education Bureaucracy” Standing In Way Of Education

Illinois has more than 850 school districts and over 13,000 school administrators in its K-12 system. Gov. Bruce Rauner says those numbers are bloat to the system and is calling for a paring down of what he calls "education bureaucracy."

No Charges To Be Filed In Champaign Centennial Protest Incident

A car windshield was broken when students participating in December's 'die-in' took to the street.  State's Attorney Julia Rietz suggests instead that the school district resolve it through 'mediation and community education.'
