Obama To Address Illinois General Assembly Next Month

On the ninth anniversary of his entrance into the presidential race, President Barack Obama will address the Illinois General Assembly in Springfield on February 10th.  Gov. Bruce Rauner released a statement, saying "he looks forward to hearing him speak about finding common ground between Republicans and Democrats."

Davis Bill Aims To Cut Student Loan Debt, Provide Incentive To Employers

Taylorville Republican Rodney Davis has co-sponsored the Employer Participation in Student Loan Assistance Act, a student loan re-payment plan that lets employes offer recent college graduates a tax-free benefit of just over $5-thousand.  The funds can also be used for continuing education with current workers.
