Hemp growing in Illinois was legalized in 2018 under the Industrial Hemp Act, signed by former Governor Bruce Rauner.

Now that farmers are wrapping up their first year of growing hemp, we wanted to check in to see how it went, and learn if anything has changed for hemp growers since the legalization of recreational cannabis on Jan. 1.
