Bruce Hornsby’s new collaboration

Bruce Hornsby is probably best known for "The Way It Is," which was a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1986. But Hornsby's 50-year career stretches far beyond his hits. He's just put out an album where he collaborates with the experimental chamber music ensemble yMusic. The collective group's known as BrhyM.

On Thursday, March 7, the group will be bringing its music to Urbana, in the Foellinger Great Hall at the Krannert Center on UIUC campus. We talked with Bruce and some of his musical collaborators.
