Illinois News Roundup - September 8, 2023

Each Friday, we end the week with a statewide news roundup. We checked in with reporters from Peoria and Springfield to bring the latest updates about how Peoria has responded to the string of shootings within the span of 13 hours. Plus, we discussed OSF Healthcare buying St. Margaret’s Peru location, along with changes to the Peoria National Guard Base that will affect 200 military members. In Springfield, we catch up on last week’s computer outage at HSHS medical group, a second water source being added to the city, and a gardener goal’s to feed the east side of the city.
