Politics News Roundup - May 10, 2024

We'll start off this week's politics roundtable with a look at national news.

After, we'll focus on Illinois politics.

Last week, Governor JB Pritzker signed a law that keeps local political parties from appointing legislative candidates to show up on the ballot where the party didn't field a candidate in the primary, which solidifies majorities for Democrats before votes have even been cast. We'll hear about the ramifications of this law.
