Rosalyn LaPier is an ethno-botanist and an Indigenous writer. She/they are an enrolled member of the Blackfeet of Montana and Métis nations. LaPier is also a professor of history at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. LaPier had a prominent role in the Ken Burns' documentary series 'The American Buffalo' which debuts nationwide on PBS on October 16, 2023. She is one of several Indigenous experts who shared their expertise and experience for the film.
