From the Chicago Symphony Orchestra website:

The reviews are in, and they’re raves for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus’ concert presentation of Verdi’s Falstaff, conducted by Riccardo Muti. “The CSO’s 125th anniversary season has brought us nothing finer,” wrote John von Rhein in the Chicago Tribune. Over at the Chicago Classical Review, Lawrence A. Johnson declared, “This witty and delightful Falstaff is arguably Muti’s finest achievement in Chicago to date.” In the Chicago Sun-Times, Hedy Weiss observed: “Feast on Verdi’s score, and this rendering of it. …The music here spins out with such tripping speed and lightness – and such a sense of exuberant chatter – that it creates a perfect giddiness.”
