Could today’s guests comment on the mixed breed DNA tests that are now available without veterinary assistance?

Some questions: There is some debate on the value of these not inexpensive tests, particularly if the dog has highly mixed ancestry.
Some commentators feel these tests should be purchased for “entertainment only,” others feel there is some medical and behavioral value in learning the predominant breeds detected through DNA assessment.

On training, it would seem to this questioner that while dogs have differing aptitudes for training, the suggestion that “training techniques need to be different for certain breeds,” is incorrect. The trainer may need to work harder on consistency and reward with some breeds, but training techniques apply regardless of breed.  Thank you for any information and commentary.
