Cervantes' great novel, Don Quixote, first published in 1605, has proved to be a continuous inspiration to writers, composers, and artists ever since. From Telemann in 1767 to Richard Strauss in 1898, and on to "Man of la Mancha" in 1965, the "Knight of the Woeful Countenance" continues to ride on his knightly adventures, accompanied by his "everyman" Sancho Panza. On Saturday at 11, we will savor some of those "quixotic" musical treasures.
