Russian pianist Evgeny Kissin was born in 1971, and he has proved to be one of the most brilliant child prodigies of his time. By age 12, he played, and recorded, both Chopin concertos at the same concert. Kissin, now 47 years old, has raised some doubts about the maturity of his interpretations, but at his recitals, his adoring fans may be rewarded with 12 encores.

On this week's Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, we will enjoy his brilliance on his discs.
