About WILL Education

Each week, Illinois Public Media (WILL-TV) broadcasts more than 40 hours of quality PBS Kids programs. These programs not only entertain, they focus on literacy development, healthy lifestyles, and positive social skills. Since 1995, our educational outreach program, the Young Learners Initiative, has provided training and resources for teachers, parents and child care providers to extend the learning power of the children’s programs we broadcast. Our Young Learners Initiative includes community-based projects such as The Book Mentor Project, Raising Readers Library Corners, and A Place of Our Own Curriculum Kits.
