The Dranoff International 2 Piano Competition - 176 Keys to The World (Ep.4)

 

Tonight at 7:00 on the "The Evening Concert" on WILL-FM it’s the Dranoff international Two Piano Competition. Duo Yamamoto plays Poulenc’s “Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra” and Debussy’s arrangement of Schumann’s ‘Canonic Etudes’. Also on the program Duo Yoo and Kim plays Ravel’s “Introduction and Allegro” and Saint-Saens “Variations on a theme of Beethoven.

      The 2013 competition follows the eight top professional semifinalist piano teams from seven countries: Duo Yamamoto (Japan), Duo Yoo & Kim (South Korea), Duo ImPuls (Germany); Duo Ping & Ting (Hong Kong); Lavrova/Primakov Duo (Russia); Duo Bohemes (France/Romania); Adventure Piano Duo (Russia); Julia Getallo & Alexander Andreev Duo (Russia)
