Two Hanukkah Specials: “Hanukkah Lights 2013” and “Chanukkah in Story and Song” on WILL-FM

Tonight starting at 7:00 on WILL-FM it’s “The Evening Concert”. Join hosts Susan Stamberg and Murray Horwitz with Hanukkah stories written by acclaimed authors expressly for the show “Hanukkah Lights 2013”. At 8:00 Leonard Nimoy hosts “Chanukkah in Story and Song”. The group “The Western Wind” performs Yiddish melodies and modern Israeli songs.

Chanukkah in Story and Song

Narrated by Leonard Nimoy and sung by the acclaimed vocal sextet The Western Wind Vocal Ensemble, "Chanukah in Story and Song" is a unique holiday program created especially for public radio listeners. For 2013, when the first day of Chanukah falls on Thanksgiving (this will not happen again until the year 79811!!), The Western Wind has created a short Thanksgiving preamble featuring a setting of ee cummings' inspired poem, "i thank You God."
