Student a cappella group the Girls Next Door

The University of Illinois is home to several student a cappella groups, including the Girls Next Door, who first appeared in 1971. They'll give a concert called "Holidays Around the World" at the Spurlock Museum in Urbana Saturday night, and they'll sing for us live on the Friday edition of Live and Local. I'll also talk with Marion van der Loo, music director of the Springfield Choral Society, who will present Handel's Messiah on December 14 and 15.
