Judge Orders PTSD As Part Of Illinois Medical Cannabis Program

A Cook County judge ruled Tuesday that Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder be added to the qualifying conditions for Illinois' medical marijuana pilot program within 30 days. The ruling stems from a complaint filed by Army Veteran Dan Jabs of Urbana. The judge said Illinois Department of Public Health Director Nirav Shah violated agency rules, and violated Jabs' procedural due rights process.

New Illinois Raw Milk Guidelines; A Misting Flu Vaccine; Higher Ed Funding

On The 21st: New regulations for the sale of raw milk in Illinois go into effect July 1 - but raw milk producers and consumers are not happy about it. We talked with a producer of raw milk, someone to explain the new guidelines and representatives from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Center for Disease Contol and Prevention about why they believe raw milk is a risky thing to consume. Plus, a CDC panel tells doctors not to give the flu vaccine as a nasal spray this year. And we looked at higher education funding in Illinois as we come close to opening another fiscal year with no budget in the state.
