State Fair Grandstand Acts Announced (Despite Budget Woes)

Most of the grandstand acts for this summer's Illinois State Fair have been announced.

Illinois was without a budget for last year's state fair, which means some vendors have been waiting since August to get paid.

Illinois still has no budget. But the show (and the fair) must, evidently, go on.

Officials announced a series of country acts, including Dierks Bently, Little Big Town, Cole Swindell, and Jake Owen.

The fair runs from Aug. 14-21, when Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band will open for headliner ZZ Top. Information on musicians' pay wasn't part of the announcement.

August 16:  Dierks Bentley / Tucker Beathard; Tier 3 - $42 / Tier 2 - $47 / Tier 1 - $52 / Track $52 / VIP - $64 

August 19:  Cole Swindell / Kane Brown / LANco / Jon Langston; Tier 3 - $18 / Tier 2 - $23 / Tier 1 - $28 / Track $28 / VIP - $40 

August 20:  Little Big Town / David Nail; Tier 3 - $27 / Tier 2 - $32 / Tier 1 - $37 / Track $37 / VIP - $49
