WILL’s Morning Edition Host Brian Moline sat down with his new colleague, Host/Executive Producer Niala Boodhoo, to welcome her to the station and give listeners a preview of what to expect.

Boodhoo comes to WILL from WBEZ where she covered business and later served as the host of The Afternoon Shift, a weekday news/public affairs talk show.

“This will be a show for Illinois, by Illinois,” said Boodhoo. "I think so much of the media that we hear and see and consume comes from the coasts and this is a chance to supplement the fantastic reporting that's already going on at WILL and stations thoughout the state."

The show, which launches on March 14th, will cover topics specific to Illinois as well as those of national and global importance from an Illinois perspective.

The press release on the launch of The 21st went out on Jan. 7th at 8 am.
