On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9: The Illinois Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Ken Lam, opens the 2017-2018 season with a world premiere Fanfare by Mark Rheaume honoring Ken Lam.  Pianist Ran Dank performs the 3rd Piano Concerto by Bela Bartok and the concert concludes with Tchaikovksy’s fateful 5th Symphony.
