Jupiter Plus

The Jupiter Quartet, the U of I School of Music’s quartet-in-residence, performs the Brahms Sextet No. 2 in G Major with winners of the Quartet’s 2nd annual Guest Artist Award, Kim Uwate, viola and Seungwon Chung, cello.

Also on the program are spirituals with faculty artist Ollie Watts Davis and the Dvořák String Quartet in F Major “American,” which the composer wrote during a vacation in Spillville, Iowa, home to a Czech immigrant community.
