The campus, community, and region are treated to Mozart’s arrangement of Handel’s Messiah again this year! On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday night at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9, the “Christmas Portion” (Part One and the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Part Two) of Handel’s most famous oratorio is presented in Mozart’s rich, expanded orchestration in what promises to be a holiday tradition. Ian Hobson serves double duty as pianist and conductor in Mozart’s beloved Piano Concerto No. 23, and the orchestra opens with Mozart’s seldom-performed gem, his Overture to La Clemenza di Tito.
