We provide information on delays, closings and cancellations for schools that reach out to us in Champaign, Vermilion, Douglas, Piatt, and Ford Counties. We present the latest list on air at the following times during Morning Edition:
Due to the weather, Champaign's s Multifamily Recycling Program, ‘Feed the Thing’ will not be serviced Monday, March 25th. The city expects the service will be up and running again by Tuesday morning, March 26th.

All Champaign Park District preschool programs are canceled for Monday, but other Park District activities are running.
Urbana Park District programs are canceled Monday. The Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center is also closed.
Classes are canceled on Monday at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. However, the university remains open. As a matter of policy, the Urbana campus does not fully close. The residential and research aspects of operations make it impossible to close the entire campus. In conditions such as those we are experiencing, employees must decide whether they are able to report to work.
The LGBT Resource Center at the U of I will be closed on Monday, and the LGBT Advisory meeting will be rescheduled for another date. If you need assistance, please email LGBTRC@Illinois.edu or if it is an emergency--call the Emergency Dean at (217) 333.0050 (after 5p) or University Police 911. If it is a non-emergency, dial University Police at (217) 333.1216.
The Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center on the U of I's Urbana campus is also closed on Monday, and all evening events have been canceled.
Chabad on the U of I's Urbana campus has canceled its classes on Monday. But the Seder scheduled for Monday night will be held as scheduled, but indoors instead of in the Banquet Tent.
Due to the weather, the Champaign County Welcome Center will be closed Monday.
Due to the weather, the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce will be closed on Monday.
The St. Joseph Township-Swearingen Memorial Library will be closed on Monday.
Due to the inclement weather the Champaign County Courthouse will be closed on Monday.
On Monday, the Brookens Administration Center will be closed because of the weather.
Lake Land Community College in Mattoon has announced that it has canceled classes on Monday, including all extension centers. However, the IDOT classes will be held in the West Building.
There will be no programs running on Monday by Developmental Services Center in Champaign due to the weather.
The district office for State Rep. Naomi Jakobsson at 206 N. Randolph Street, Suite 120 in Champaign will be closed Monday.
After being closed all morning, Carle physician officers are open from Noon until 5 PM on Monday, March 25th, except for offices at Champaign on Mattis, Effingham, Mattoon and Tuscola. The only Carle Conventient Care open until 8 PM will be Urbana on Windsor. Please note that staff will be limited and wait times may be longer than normal. Patients may rescheduled by calling their provider's office or Carle Scheduling Center on Tuesday. Carle staff should call 383-3371 or updates on Carle office openings.
Due to weather conditions, the Champaign Public Library will be closed on Monday.
Due to weather the Landscape Recycling Center in Urbana will be closed Monday, and will re-open on Tuesday, March 26 at 8:00 a.m. Concerns or questions may be directed to Kevin Sanderson at (217) 384-2342.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Vermilion County is closed on Monday.
Due to weather ABC Sanitary in Urbana will not be collecting U-cycle on Monday. They will resume collection on Tuesday, March 26, and will be one day behind all week and will collect on Saturday.
The Philo Public Library is closed Monday.
MTD service is in operation Monday. Streets are mostly passable but MTD schedule adherence are affected. There are some areas that have not yet been plowed. Until further notice, MTD will not serve the following areas:
Yellow Route: Parkview, The Place at 117, and Winfield Village
Brown Route: DSC on Clark
As of Monday morning, the Danville Mass Transit does not have service to Champaign because of the snow. The Douglas Park and Grant/Logan Routes will operate snow routes today. All other routes may be delayed due to the weather.
Planned honors for Savoy resident, U of I student and Navy veterans Elizabeth Ambros will not be held Monday as planned, due to the weather. The program, held by the Illinois Departmetn of Veterans Affairs, has been rescheduled for Monday, April 1 at 2:30 PM in the lower level of the Illini Union on the U of I Urbana campus.
