Monday night June 6 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Organist Cameron Carpenter is the soloist in Saint-Saen’s “Organ” Symphony and Poulenc’s “Concerto for Organ, Strings, and Timpani”. Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider guest conducts. Also on the program, Dukas’ ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”.

Thursday night August 18 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s a “Deutsche Welle Festival Concert”. The mythological Prometheus is the subject, and you’ll hear Liszt’s “Prometheus” symphonic poem and Scriabin’s “Prometheus” for piano, organ and orchestra. Also on the program, Cameron Carpenter’s “The Scandal”.

You would expect (and be right about it) to hear Saint-Saens' "Organ Symphony" on the program.

The crisis with lead in Flint’s water has led many communities around the country to ask: could this happen here? Today on the 21st, we talked with people from Chicago, Galesburg, and Decatur, to find out what those communities are seeing regarding lead and other problems with tap water. Also, musician Cameron Carpenter joined us to explain his not-so-traditional approach to playing the organ.
