Monday night January 9 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week” with “An All-American New Year’s Program”. Thomas Hampson sings selections from Copland’s “Old American Songs” and standards by Cole Porter.

We're putting the spotlight on the songs of Cole Porter this time on the program. In particular, a look at how hi-fi artists interpretated his music. We hear from Bob Thompson and His Orchestra, Sarah Vaughan, David Rose, and even Stan Freberg.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”.  It’s an all-American music program with Gershwin’s “Catfish Row Symphonic Suite”, marches by Sousa, and songs by Cole Porter.
