Fresh “Evening Concert” programs: Tchaikovsky, Kreisler and others

This week on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Tchaikovsky’s “Violin Concerto” from New York, Saint-Saens’ “Organ” Symphony from Chicago, Beethoven’s “Grosse Fuge” from Schwetzingen, Brahms’ “3rd Symphony” from San Francisco, then Sunday electronic music from Lincoln Center and chamber music by Fritz Kreisler from Santa Fe.

An all-Beethoven program from the CSO archives

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast” with an all-Beethoven program from their archives. Bernard Haitink conducts the “Pastorale” Symphony, the “4th Symphony” and the Leonore Overture No. 2.  Also on the program the “Grosse fuge” String Quartet.
