Medical Marijuana Clinic Coming To Shelbyville

A business that works to connect those who qualify for medical marijuana to the product, and proper use of it, will open its first downstate clinic in less than a month. Caprice Sweatt, the founder and CEO of Medical Cannabis Outreach says its Shelbyville location will help those whose doctors still don’t approve of using the drug.

Chronic Pain To Be Added To State Medical Cannabis Program

A Cook County judge has ordered Illinois Department of Public Health Director Nirav Shah to add chronic post operative pain to the list of conditions that can be treated with medical marijuana in the state. Shah has thirty days to act. There have been a series of lawsuits to add conditions to the program. Attorney Michael Goldberg says Shah was trying to change the rules for what conditions could be added "mid-stream."
