Eight people were killed and "numerous" others injured Tuesday afternoon after a motorist drove onto a busy pedestrian and bicycle path in Manhattan. Police have arrested one suspect in the incident, which unfolded near the World Trade Center, and they say there are "no others outstanding."
A bombing at the end of an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, has killed 22 people and injured 59 more, police say. Monday night's concert had drawn thousands of children and young people — many of whom were trying to leave when the blast hit. Authorities say it was a terrorist attack, carried out by a man who died at Manchester Arena.
The Associated Press reports that the Islamic State group claimed responsibiltiy for attacks at the international airport and a subway station in the Belgian city of Brussells has left at least 30 people dead and at least 150 wounded. A Belgian federal prosecutor says one of the terror attacks was probably the work of a suicide bomber. Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel says authorities are worried there will be more attacks.
