Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Augustin Hadelich is the soloist in Brahms’ “Violin Concerto”. He’ll also play Bach’s Chaconne from the solo violin Partitas. Also on the program Beethoven’s “8th Symphony” in F Major”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Orion Weiss is the soloist in Beethoven’s “2nd Piano Concerto”. Music Director Ken-David Masur conducts. Also on the program Mendelssohn’s “4th Symphony”, the “Italian”.  

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. The CSO archives are expansive and from that repository you’ll hear Mahler’s “8th Symphony” and Mozart’s “Symphony No. 39 in E-flat Major” conducted by Sir Georg Solti.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”.  In a leap year, yesterday would have been February 29th, Rossini’s birthday. On tonight’s program you’ll hear Rossini’s “Stabat Mater”. The program differs from the one listed in Patterns Magazine.

Leonard Slatkin guest conducts.  Also on the program Michel Camilo’s “2nd Piano Concerto” with the composer as soloist.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Sonora Slocum is the soloist in Nielsen’s “Flute Concerto” and Leila Josefowicz is the soloist in John Adams’ “Violin Concerto”.  Also on the program Nielsen’s “5th Symphony”.

You’ll hear Schubert’s “9th Symphony” and Berg’s Violin Concerto” with soloist Arabella Steinbacher. Manfred Honeck guest conducts.  Also on the program, the Webern orchestration of the “Ricercar No. 2” from Bach’s “The Musical Offering”.
