This week on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Mozart’s “2nd Flute Concerto” from New York, three “Coronation Anthems” by Handel from Chicago, Haydn’s “Mass in a Time of War” from Pittsburgh, Beethoven’s “1st Symphony” from Beijing, and Sunday chamber music by Beethoven from Lincoln Center and “Fiesta! Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “This Week from China’s National Centre for the Performing Arts”. You’ll hear Debussy’s “La Mer” (The Sea) and four concert overtures by Beethoven. Also on the program Zhao Jinping’s “Cello Concerto”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. Emanuel Ax is the soloist in Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto. Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts. Also on the program Berlioz’s “Te Deum”.
