Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert it’s the Cleveland Orchestra. Pianist Louis Lortie is the soloist in Chopin’s “2nd Piano Concerto”. Jaap van Zweden guest conducts. Also on the program, Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 and the “Overture to Cyrano de Bergereac” by Wagenaar.
Tonight on the Evening Concert it’s the San Francisco Symphony. with an all-Schubert program as pianist Juho Pohjonen joins principals Alexander Barantschik and others in the “Trout” Quintet. Also on the program Michael Tilson Thomas conducts the Mahler orchestration of the “Death and the Maiden” string Quartet plus the “Overture to Alfonso and Estrella”.
Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert the Labeque Sisters play Poulenc’s “Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra” with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Semyon Bychokov guest conducts. Also on the program, Richard Strauss’ tone- poem “Ein Heldenleben, ‘A Hero’s Life’” and Brahms’ 4th Symphony.
Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert it’s “Stuttgart Festival” from the Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts. Stile Antico sings music of William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, Thomas Morley and others. Also on the program, Vox Luminis accompanied by Les Muffati perform the “Requiem” by Jommeli, a Haydn contemporary noted for his innovations in vocal music.

Tonight on the Evening Concert Kirill Gerstein is the piano soloist in Richard Strauss' "Burleske for Piano and Orchestra” with the San Francisco Symphony. Semyon Bychkov guest conducts. Also on the program Richard Strauss' tone poem "Don Juan” and Schumann’s Symphony No. 2 in C Major, Op.61.
Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert… Mitsuko Uchida is the piano soloist and conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in three of Mozart’s Piano Concertos: No. 18, K.456, No. 9, K.271, and No. 11, K.413. Also on the program, Uchida plays Mozart’s solo piano work, the “Adagio and Fugue in C Minor, K.546.
Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert it’s an “encore” program from the Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts. Duo Amal plays Mozart’s “Sonata in D Major K. 448 for Two Pianos” and Stravinsky’s "Petrushka". Also on the program Duo d’Accord plays Martinu’s “Fantasy for Two Pianos" and works by Ravel, Prokofiev and John Cage.
