Wednesday night September 11 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FM HD1 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. You’ll hear two symphonies from Vienna: Schubert’s “6th Symphony” and Beethoven’s “7th Symphony”. Jukka-Pekka Saraste guest conducts.
Tuesday night September 10 at 7:00 on WILL 90.9 FM HD1 the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast” is pre-empted. At 7:00 you’ll hear Beethoven’s Opus 20 “Septet” on the “Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival”. At 8:00 it’s NPR’s coverage of the Presidential Debate.
Monday night September 9 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FM HD1 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Nathan Milstein as the soloist in Mendelssohn’s “E Minor Violin Concerto” with Bruno Walter conducting. Also on the program Beethoven’s “Missa Solemnis” led by Kurt Masur.
Sunday night September 8 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL- FM 90.9 you’ll hear Brahms’ “2nd Piano Quartet” from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by Latin American piano music on Fiesta and at 8:00 by Gateways Radio.
Thursday night September 5 at 7:00 on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear another episode of “The Sound of 13”, a program that investigates the intersection between the 13th Amendment and classical music. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly, non-partisan call-in talk show on politics.
Wednesday night September 4th at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. You'll hear Saint-Saens’ “Organ Symphony” with soloist Joanne Pearce Martin. Also on the program Ravel’s “Mother Goose Suite” and Jonathan Bailey Holland’s “Assemble”.
