Getting Into the Swing

We'll dispense with the niceties and get right down to business with this week's episode, the third of our season so far:

:30 - WINNER'S CIRCLE

Thirty seconds in... and Lisa starts nattering on about how the US Open tennis tournament finished up.

4:03 - JEMELE HILL SAID A FEW THINGS ON TWITTER

ESPN's Jemele Hill had a few things to say about racism in the US, and she said them on Twitter. There's been blowback. Is that fair? We discuss.

7:03 - BASEBALL GETS WEIRD IN SEPTEMBER, NO SURPRISE THERE

How 'bout them kids from Cleveland?

9:24 - COACH TAMAS IS DIGGING THE C-U SCENE

Chris Tamas has found a lot to love about C-U as he gets comfy in his new gig as head volleyball coach at the University of Illinois. He's also pretty darn good at Twitter, loves making volleyball a family affair (read this about his wife and you'll understand), and is really happy to be one of the good guys in Huff Hall.

23:04 - CONTROVERSY!

Brian, John, and Lisa ponder the "trials" and tribulations of one Ezekiel Elliott, star running back for the Dallas Cowboys (and formerly an Ohio State standout), and wonder whether the NFL is really just one giant controversy all by itself.

29:10 - STATUS UPDATE

John wants to know WHAT IS UP with all the empty stadiums in LA, y'all.

Lisa ran across a very lengthy long read about Colin Kaepernick that should be a required text for, well, everyone; also, apparently Sloane Stephens' significant other does some sports sometimes?

And Brian? Well, Brian is interested in "The Funnest Player in Baseball", and it just might be this guy

Wait, this was our 40th episode? Huh. Follow us on Twitter for more Bandwagony fun, eh? As always - thanks for playing!
